Stockholm Arlanda Airport, ARN is Sweden’s busiest and largest international airport, located approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of Stockholm’s city center. Serving as the main gateway for both international and domestic flights, Arlanda is a major hub for travelers visiting Sweden and the Scandinavian region. It's the main hub airport in Stockholm.

Arlanda has four terminals that are divided by flight types and destinations:
Terminal 1:
Used for low-cost carriers and some international flights. ​
Terminal 2:
Used for international flights, for destinations outside Europe.​
Terminal 3:
A smaller terminal used mainly by Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) for European flights and domestic connections.​
Terminal 4:​​
This terminal primarily handles international flights from non-European airlines, including destinations in the Middle East, Asia, and North America.

Bromma Stockholm Airport
​
Stockholm’s second-largest airport, located about 8 kilometers (5 miles) northwest of the city center. While it’s much smaller than Arlanda Airport, Bromma plays an important role in handling domestic flights and some international routes, offering a more convenient and efficient option for passengers traveling to and from Stockholm.

Flights:
Domestic flights: Destinations like Gothenburg, Malmö, Visby, and Umeå are frequently served.
​
International flights: Primarily to Northern Europe, including cities in Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Germany. These flights are typically shorter and often serviced by budget carriers.

TRANSPORTATION METHODS
There are multiple ways to get around Stockholm. With night trains operating on Friday nights and on weekends. It is the most efficient way to travel around the city!
Buses and Trams

Saturday and Sunday: 5:00 AM - 12:00 (With limited night buses operating)

Frequency:
During rush hours, the bus runs every 5 to 10 minutes. Normal times, they run every 10 to 15 minutes.

Night Buses:
Friday to Saturday and Saturday to Sunday
After 12:00 AM.
Operates every 30 minutes to 1 hour.

During peak hours, trains run every 2–5 minutes. During off-peak hours, trains run every 5–10 minutes. After midnight, especially on weekends, trains run every 20 minutes.

Night Trains:
Available on Fridays and Saturdays. These run from 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM and operate on a reduced schedule. Only certain stations are served, and trains are less frequent (usually every 20 minutes).

Lines:
The Green Line (G), Red Line (R), and Blue Line (B) cover most of the city, with connections to commuter trains, buses, and ferries.

Stockholm is an archipelagic city located on the eastern coast of the country along the shores of the Baltic Sea. It consists of numerous islands, peninsulas, and waterways, which contribute to its distinctive geographical layout. The city is divided into several boroughs (known as "stadsdelar" in Swedish), each of which encompasses a number of neighborhoods or districts. Stockholm is officially divided into 14 boroughs (kommuner) and is further subdivided into smaller neighborhoods or districts (stadsdelar). These boroughs form the administrative and functional divisions within the city.
