TJENA !
I am Shane Tun, a 20-year-old culinary student from Myanmar. A passion for food and arts in general. Connecting passion with hobbies, connecting the world of food with the crafts behind them.

Traveling has always been my escape from reality. A moment to explore with an empty mind. Approaching different cultures and enjoying the delights they have to offer. Building a stronger connection with people from different sides of the World. Truly being able to explore gastronomy with deep insights into the culinary scene.
Bond Between
ME & Stockholm
A city that is hard to get used to, with inconsistent weather throughout the year. My time goes back to April 1st, 2024 when I reached there for the first time. A new country, first time, an open mind ready to explore and adapt to a new culture for the next 6 months. It was not the easiest start, as my internship starts within the next few days. As work started it was hard as my shift hours would be during awkward times and I did not have time to enjoy the city. It was a rough time with a lot of support from my friends.
Soon, I adjusted to the city and was comfortable with my work. With more responsibilities and trust given to me during work, my opportunity to gain connections opened up. I was getting closer to the team, it was when I started finding hotspots in the city. Truly experiencing the local lifestyle in Stockholm, with crazy weekends and long work days. A moment when I fell in love with the city and its culture. Being able to work at my dream restaurant and experience a new culture is probably one of my best memories as a chef. Experiencing what a true chef working in one of the World's best restaurants and the best restaurant in the country goes through. Meeting chefs and bartenders from other restaurants, sharing the same love for food. Enjoying off hours together like a family, supporting friends in the industry, and experiencing a balanced work environment.
An experience that I would love to share with everyone! A unique culture of Sweden, where people are extremely quiet and introverted. A country where alcohol is only sold by one government-controlled company. A city that is modern and classy, creating a unique atmosphere in its attractions, food, and arts. A city full of surprises and love!

WOOZY WEEKENDS
it all starts with 1 beer...
Although Sweden has a strict law on purchasing and selling alcohol. As in the 19th century when Sweden was industrialized and urbanized, industrially produced brännvin became easily accessible, leading to alcohol causing the increase in health and social problems. Creating a growth in drinking in bars, or home parties.
Stockholm is a wild city, with weekends going off-limits. With hidden bars all across the city, with incredible vibes. Not a friendly city for your liver but great for a memorable weekend.
